New: The Extended XenDesktop 4 Trade-Up Program

Along with the release of XenDesktop 4, Citrix announced the Trade-up to XenDesktop 4 Program, which provided XenApp-, Presentation Server- and MetaFrame XP customers the unique opportunity to add complete desktop virtualization to their application virtualization environment. However, only Enterprise and Platinum licenses were eligible to take advantage of the offer. Now the XenDesktop Trade-Up Program has been extended to include also the Advanced Edition licenses of Citrix XenApp and the legacy versions Presentation Server and MetaFrame XP. And the best, licenses both with and without active Subscription Advantage can be traded up.

By trading-up, customers leverage their XenApp-, Presentation Server- or MetaFrame XP licenses to get XenDesktop 4, which allows them to do everything they do today with XenApp and deliver high-definition virtual desktops to every user in their organization. XenApp customers can trade up their licenses now, continue to use application virtualization as they always have, and add virtual desktops at their own pace.

The Program will be available until June 30, 2010.
